Really lovely and stylish crocheted bags By iiiireader [[VIDEOID:4f087443cd4c5b395743794e713487d1]]This is a book of 23 truly stunning crocheted bags. I am inspired to crochet at least one of each bag for myself and then, perhaps, a couple of others for family and friends.The book apparently was published in Germany in 2014 (though it is unclear if it was as a book or simply that the patterns were available from Coats GmbH), then in Great Britain in 2015, and finally, here in the US, also in 2015. The translators did a good job in providing directions in both the US format (default in this book) and in the English format.The only thing I wish that they had also done was provide the weight of the yarn used in each of the projects. I can understand why they didn't include the specific yarns as those may not be available in markets outside of Germany and, in some cases, may not be available at all anymore. However, they could have included the weight. I can guess at some of them but I wish that I didn't have to. As an experienced crocheter, I will make make my gauge in the yarn that I prefer and adjust accordingly. It may make working these patterns a little more difficult for the novice crocheter. In doing this, be sure to buy enough yarn to finish the project as it may differ depending on what weight you use.Having said that, I still like the book so well that I easily rate it at 5+ stars. The bags are all very stylish and usable. The Look Inside sample shows the table of contents for the book and gives you an idea of how the patterns are laid out with the first one (handbag in apricot) which appears to be made with a bulky or super bulky yarn. A few of the patterns also have illustrations showing the stitch chart but for the most part the patterns in given in written language.I've included pictures of the bags that are my favorites apart from those already shown. The other bags are also lovely but these are the ones that I will be doing first.The basic instructions at the front of the book are very well done. The illustrations show the new crocheter just how to do each stitch and serve as a reminder for the rest of us, too. The pastel mesh bag calls for basic knitting for the strap but unfortunately, does not give instructions. The blue clutch bag calls for a knitting dolly to make a cord strap but again does not give instructions. For the rest of the bags, you either crochet straps or purchase pre-made ones. I think you could easily crochet straps for both of the two bags above if you are not familiar with knitting. I also think that the knitting skills involved are fairly basic and you could learn them pretty easily.I really like this book and am glad that I purchased it. I plan on buying a copy of the book for my younger daughter (who also crochets) and will, over time, make a bag or two for my older daughter (who does not currently crochet.) Who knows, the bags are so cute, it may inspire her to finally learn to crochet.

Great Set of Bag Patterns to Choose From By Kathryn Vercillo This is a lovely soft cover crochet book with beautiful, colorful photography of the projects included in the collection. It begins with basic crochet instructions for beginners (or reminders). Then you'll find the patterns. They aren't divided or categorized into any specific things, so you can just enjoy browsing from one to the next until you land on the crochet pattern that you want to work on next.At the top of each crochet pattern you'll find the approximate size of the finished crochet bag along with the level of difficulty ranging from 1-3. This can assist you in making a decision about whether or not you want to do a specific pattern at any given time.

Anne's daughter Rilla endures the sorrows of World War I By Lawrance Bernabo It is certainly hard to begin reading "Rilla of Ingleside," knowing it is the eighth and final book in the Anne of Green Gables series. When it was written in 1921 it was actually the sixth book that L.M. Montgomery wrote in the series. Years later she would add "Anne of Windy Poplars" as the "fourth" book and "Anne of Ingleside" as the sixth, pushing this one to eighth place. The title character is Rilla, born Bertha Marilla Blythe (named for Anne's mother and the old maid who adopted the red-headed orphan), the youngest of Anne and Gilbert's daughters. The novel is set about a decade after Montgomery's previous Anne novel, "Rainbow Valley," which was more about the four children of the new widowed minister John Meredith, who become good friends with the Blythe kids. Most of the novel is set during World War I, which is one of the most interesting aspects of the story for me.As the novel begins Rilla is almost fifteen years old, with bright hazel eyes and a dazzling smile. Rilla is still looking forward to her first romance and for her the most important thing in the world is going to her very first dance at the Four Winds lighthouse and getting her first kiss from Kenneth Ford. But the story takes a dramatic turn as the shadow of the World War reaches all the way to Ingleside. Her brothers, her friends and her beau go over the ocean to fight in France and Rilla brings home an orphaned newborn in a soup tureen and organizes the Junior Red Cross. Everything takes on new meaning when there is a war going on, waiting to hear from the battlefields of France and Susan wondering when America is finally going to get involved so the Allies can win and the boys can finally come home. American involvement in that war was pretty brief, so what I found fascinating is to see that war from the Canadian perspective, as it drags on year after year.Young men get killed in a war and that tragedy touches the Blythe family. Then more bad news comes from France, bringing home the nightmare even more. Yet Montgomery creates the possibility of hope in the figure of a faithful dog, waiting at the train station for his master to return. Rilla is not the only one waiting for someone to come home: Una Meredith and Mary Vance are waiting as well. "Rilla of Ingleside" was published in 1921, which means that L. M. Montgomery provided a contemporaneous account of the war as seen from the home front. We learn of what is happening second-hand as we see the impact of the war on the mothers, sisters and girls who were left behind to worry about Paris being shelled by the Germans along with the fate of the Empire and their loved ones. This gives "Rilla" an emotional depth unmatched in Montgomery's work, and also sets up the tragic aspects of the story. While this might be a bit sobering for younger readers, by the time they get to this final novel I believe they will be well prepared. There are certainly comic aspects to the story, but this an emotional tale that provides a satisfying conclusion to the story of Anne Shirley and her family.

THe most heart warming book I have ever read By A Customer Rilla Of Ingleside, the 8th book of the Anne of Green Gables series is my ultimate favorite of them all. Though every book was enchanting, each carrying beautiful stories, I feel that Rilla of Ingleside overflows in greatness. I have read this book time and time again and each time I laugh and cry for the beautiful characters and their lives that are so deeply touched by the Great War. Rilla is a girl like many who due to greater circumstances must grow up in a world of fear and fighting, and so she becomes a woman obtaining great character, love and wisdom. The story is beautiful and portrays what many must have gone through during those trying times. Anne in this novel, is not the headstrong girl that she was before, but is a woman and a mother who shows greater courage than in any other book. With all her sons at the front she is still the strongest and most loved kindred spirit. The book shows not what life was like at the front but what life was for those who had to stay behind. This book shows the greater courage that it took to stay at home, to fear the daily news, to hope in tomarrow and to "keep faith."

It's Not About Marilla By A Customer To the one who wrote the review saying that she wanted to know what happened to Marilla and that she must have died a lonely death, you forget: Marilla had the twins (their names escape me, Davy was the boy) for company, and it isn't as if Anne abandoned her. She did visit Marilla quite a few times in the other books. It just so happened that Marilla died years before the time of this book. This is an amazing book. The way Montgomery writes just thrills me and takes me into the book. Every time I read it I lose myself for hours at a time. When *(spoiler)*, well I won't say who, but someone very special dies, I feel almost as if I have lost someone quite close to me.It's such a sad, happy, sweet, sorrowful story, a lot about change and growing up. Which aren't my favorite subjects, but I absolutely love this book. And for you guys who are sitting there saying, "YUCK," I'm sorry, but this book isn't for you. :-) It isn't really even a sappy book at all. It's just... I don't know. Incredibly written. And a great story. By the way, I am not a kid, I am eighteen, but I didn't want to give out my e-mail address. :-)

I love to recycle or up-cycle the things I already have By SAR01 I love to recycle or up-cycle the things I already have. there are some really cute and easy ideas in this little book...I plan to do a few with grand kids, who knows.. maybe they will come to love recycled arts and crafts! we especially like recycling old clothes and t-shirts.

The only downside of this ebook is its not a step by step instruction booklet its a flow story but has all u need to follow

Aspiring Fashionista Fun By Zaabaa While this book most likely won't appeal to the serious fashion student it is a fun activity book for a child or perhaps a grandmother. The book is full of fun fashion ideas that are sure to spark imagination in anyone. My Fashion Doodles and Designs also includes pictures of people or animals with missing clothing items or body parts and it's up to you to fill it in! My daughter found these to be the funnest pages of the book as they gave her freedom with boundaries. Also apparent in the book is the author's love of animals. Occasionally dogs and cats jump from the barn to the fashion world as you are tasked with coloring or designing cat slippers. "My Fashion Doodles" is a must have for any girl (or guy!) who sees themselves on New York's Fifth Ave or the streets of Milan or Paris. This book allows you to style perfume bottles, complete outfits for yourself (and your pooch). My daughter and her friends loved it. Do note however that this is skewed slightly older and hipper--lots of recognizable brands and references that a younger kid would like, but an older would appreciate more.

Comfortable but suspensful because you just have to know what has/will happen. You can still enjoy this book without having read the other two, but they are all so wonderful I highly recommend reading them.

Loved Catching up on those I've been Missing from Quail Crossings By CD Jarmola Like catching up with family you haven't seen in a long time is how I felt reading Missing Quail Crossings.WWII has come and gone, but not completely as some family members have returned physically, but not completely mentally, and some haven't returned at all. Through it all Dovie has kept her "family" together.I love how McMurrain has developed the characters from the original Quail Crossings, but kept the storyline fresh in the third book. And of course old Norman the Goose is still watching over the family he loves - although he'd never admit it. Do-Overs

By Amber M This book states something that rings true for me: When my house is cluttered and disorganized, I feed drained of energy. It's almost like I'm overwhelmed and can't find a way to dig myself out. I didn't realize that it is equally important to organize my schedule. All too often, I'm running like a madwoman in the mornings because I'm down to the wire and I still need to water plants and feed animals and stop for gas. This book pointed out the importance of setting yourself up for success by organizing not only your physical belongings, but also your schedule. While it's clearly written in English, it seems to be written in a UK dialect vs American. This makes it hard to get through (perhaps only for Americans?). It's almost as if it was originally written in a different language and then translated into English...by a foreigner. There are also many areas that are redundant, that is a paragraph repeats almost verbatim what the previous paragraph stated. Much of the information in this book can be researched on the internet...for free...and is generic, that it not specific to Rottweilers.

There's lots to color one each page, arranged so that your pencils sort of "flow." No hard work here, just....peace.

Scored Big When I Sent This To My Best Friend For a Birthday Gift By Wonderwoman0625 I gave this book and a set of nice Sargent pencils to my stressed out best friend for her birthday.She LOVED it. So I ordered a set of my own and now I it too. Word to the wise- I tried Crayola pencils, but the quality is terrible.Definitely try the Sargent pencils instead. Also love using gel pens with or without sparkle, and fine point markers. Somany choices, so much fun.

I would recommend it ... there are, however, some pages that really need fine tipped markers. Small details are difficult to master with colored pencils unless the lead is a hard one.

A lovely book to read in one sitting By Michael Omer Like its predecessor, this book is perfect for those who like well detailed police procedurals, and varied, interesting characters. Stockford details the double mystery that Clipper encounters, telling the story from several very different point of views. I always love it when writers create an entire world of a side character, just to give us a glimpse of the story from that character's point of view.A lovely book to read in one sitting.

I wanted to try another one and see what other tips I can get. I expected to learn more about teaching tricks, but the book talks more about how you can be a good dog owner. I was pretty surprised though when it said that I should not hug my dog as I do this a lot. Reading this taught me a lot about how to take better care of my dog and what things I need to change when it comes to taking care of her. I need to establish a better routine and reading this as well as the other author’s books helped me a lot.

I have a pet dog and knows now after reading this book that her sense of smell decodes information. I've learned a lot from reading this book.Can recommend it to everyone.

This book taught me how important it is to stop doing some things to your dog because it can make him irritated or even bad for him!
