Horror and hope against all odds By Betterthistime14 John has written a vivid history -- at times poignant but still with undercurrent of humor and hope. Reminds us how precious our freedoms are. He brings to life different eras and people that are so different and yet so like our present times. The more things change the more they stay the same -- in our digital age we must remember a lot of eternal truths about the Jewish people inhumanity and hope in spite of the odds.
