By Linda Kinsman I've always thought I'd love to own a few chickens- just for their eggs, but didn't know the first thing about getting started. Now I do! Barb has a clever way of helping you find out just what types of chickens will fit your personality. I've taken notes in almost every chapter because this book covers so much more than chickens. Barb shows us that sustainable living is practical and doable! Love this book!

I have been Polly Pioneer from the 80's and never thought of myself as sexy. This book changed my views and I will be wearing a boa to the compost pile each day now. Interested in becoming more sustainable? This book is a great purchase to changing yor life in ways that will fit any ones life style.

While it did give me some good information, it just didn't have enough info By Karen Fitzgerald I am new at being a chicken owner and thought this book would be my holy grail. It really isn't. While it did give me some good information, it just didn't have enough info. The last third of the book is recipes which surprised me. I do have to hand it to the writer though, the title is awesome.
